Ash Wednesday Services on 14th February 2018
Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent. On this important day in the Christian calendar, there are two services to which all are welcome:
12:30 p.m. at the Chapel on the Bridge: Eucharist service followed by the imposition of ashes. The chapel will remain open for about an hour afterwards.
7:00 p.m. at St Paul’s Church, Masborough: the congregation of the Minster will join with the congregation of St Paul’s for a joint Eucharist Service with the imposition of ashes.
The next parish social event will be on Friday 9th February at 7:00 p.m. in the All Saints Centre.
This is a great opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company. A free light buffet will be provided. Soft drinks will be available, but everyone is welcome to bring their own drinks (and glasses!).
Admission is free, but anyone wishing to attend will need to obtain a ticket (numbered, for entry to a free raffle) from Anne Hicks. If you are interested in coming, please speak to Anne, a member of the clergy or a member of the social committee.
Due to the cold conditions inside the Minster, services on Sundays are moving location until further notice.
The locations are as follows:
8am BCP Eucharist – Chapel on the Bridge
10.30am Holy Communion – All Saints Centre
4.30pm Evensong (First Sunday of Month) – Chapel on the Bridge
